Roof replacement in Howell and Livingston County

Full tear-off and new asphalt shingle systems installed as an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor — ice and water barrier at the eaves, new underlayment, deck repair where the sheathing has gone soft, and ventilation corrected so the next roof lasts as long as the shingle warranty says it should. Most Howell-area homes are torn off and dried in inside one to three days.

Storm damage restoration after Michigan hail and wind

HAAG Certified inspectors document hail bruising, creased and wind-unsealed shingles, lifted ridge caps and torn flashing across your whole roof — not just the elevation you can see from the driveway. A 60 to 80 mph gust can break a shingle's seal without moving it, which is why the damage from a spring storm often shows up as a ceiling stain the following autumn.

Help with your storm insurance claim

We photograph and write up what we find and give you a report you can hand to your insurance company, and we can meet your adjuster on the roof so the scope reflects the actual damage. Michigan claims can be filed retroactively for damage that happened within the past year.

How claims work

Financing for roofs that fail at the wrong time

Roofs rarely give notice. Low-interest financing with approval in minutes lets you get the tear-off scheduled before the next freeze-thaw cycle works the leak deeper into the deck, then pay it down on a schedule that fits. We present the options next to your written estimate, with no obligation attached to either one.

Why Livingston County roofs fail the way they do

We work out of a shop on Sterling Drive in Howell, which means the roofs we inspect sit in the same weather ours does. Livingston County averages roughly 31.6 inches of snow a season and around 92 freeze-thaw days a year — the cycle that lifts snow melt back up under the shingle courses at the eaves and turns an ice dam into a stained ceiling by February. It is also why Michigan code puts an ice barrier requirement on every replacement we do.

Wind is the other half of it. A gust of 81 mph was recorded at Brighton on March 30, 2025, with 68 mph in August 2023 and 58 mph events in 2021 and 2020 before it. Winds in that range routinely break the seal strip without visibly moving a shingle, so the roof still looks correct from the sidewalk while it has stopped being watertight. Homes on open exposures near Hamburg and Pinckney's lakes take the worst of it, and heavily wooded lots collect the leaf and limb load that keeps north slopes damp long enough to grow moss.

Family-owned since 2010, licensed as a Michigan Residential Builder (#262300016) and fully insured, with HAAG Certified inspectors, Owens Corning Platinum Preferred status and a BBB A+ accreditation.
